HI everyone!!!!
Ok...apologies for not keeping in touch the last couple of days-been a bit manic. This week has been really good-have had a couple of sad moments but have quickly picked up and generally had a great time! Sunday night was 'meet n greet' which was good-scary but ok. Monday night was our first UK lasses-was sooooo much fun and being over 21 i can openly say that i was plastered. Had an amazing time and pretty much didnt stop laughing all night-from start at commons to tiki bar to taxi to commons lol. Was great night-well enjoyed singing queen on stage with other UK cast.
Got assigned families as well-i have two mums-Hayley and Amy who are both amazing and have already had to mother me once when i got upset. I then have Gary as my brother. Basically i think we just all look out for each other-i am well happy with mine!!!! lol . missing my real familt and am annoyed because my day off request has been denied so dont know if ill get to see them much :( oh well-get to see them which is the main point.
Yesterday was Nats birthday but was also the day we had to go get our social security numbers so we were at the bus stop for 530am. We got back couple hours later and went to nats to give her her presents. We then blindfolded her and took her to Disney's boardwalk hotel where Kate decorated the tables in banners, balloons etc and then mini birthday cakes. It was fun fun fun bringing natalie down to the restaurant blindfolded and then making her wait to go in. The whole place sang happy birthday to her and hopefully she had as much fun as i did.
After breakfast we got the boat over to hollywood studios where we spent the rest of the day. We rode rocknroller coaster twice and tower of terror 4 times!!!! It was my first time as well - not sure why but it was!!! I enjoyed it apart from the last one that made me ill :(
We stayed and watched fantasmic and then came home and straight to bed.
Been working in chip shop all week but today i have been training on the podium as a seater. So far i am getting on ok with work - passed my chippy test so i am officially allowed to work there lol. its all going ok.

heeeeyyy
Started work over last couple of days-working in chippy first and then rotating round. Its ok but can be stressful (as im sure all jobs can) and i leave smelling really bad but still.
Not really much else to tell cause have been at work so no real time for gossip etc-will keep people updated tho lol.

the last week
Hey guys or hey ya’ll lol. How you all doing today? I hope you are all having a magical day??????
Having few internet problems which is why I haven’t wrote to you all and why my blog is a little behind!! I cant believe I have only been here a week-it seems so much longer!!! So far am pretty much loving it here. I have met a great bunch of lads and lasses from back home who I like to call my posse whether they like it or not lol.
The first few days have pretty much consisted of classes at the Disney university and then going out or going to each others apartments till late (on a school night-yeah I know lol) Thursday we headed out to Golden Corral for tea (sorry ellie) and then experienced our first Disney magical encounter was Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island. I had my first and last cocktail here (sorry guys-never again. Gary’s fault lol)
Friday was our day off so we headed off for a date with the enemy. Of course I’m talking about Universal Studios and US Islands of Adventure. Well adventure we had getting there but oh the fun lol. We had a great day albeit very tiring!! We got to ride the newest attraction there: The Simpsons Ride!! Well worth the 2 hour queue!! So funny and well thought out-I have to say I am jealous of whoever it is that comes up with things like this. I wont tell anyone anything so as not to spoil the magic!! Went on the ET ride and got a t-shirt reading ‘he’s afraid, he’s alone, he’s three million years from home’
The day after we had classes but chilled at Markys apartment with Pizza and Coke (we are on average underage!!!) fun fun fun. I have to say-who needs alcohol when you have this much fun without!!! Lol
Then AM at uni and PM in Epcot. Spaceship earth has been revamped and is really good now-really funny at the end!! Went on test track and otherwise just walked around.
Yesterday’s training basically consisted of walking around the park all day finding out where things are and how thing are done (discovery day!!) Was really long day followed by massive shopping trip to walmart which wasn’t exactly the best of fun but needed to be done I guess. What pissed me off the most though was waking up loads in the night to be sick!!! I reckon I had a dodgy coke at lunch!!
However, the worst part was that I woke up at 8:05 on a day when I should have started work at 8-not good!!! It really upset me and I was soooo angry with myself. My trainer was fine with it though as I actually came in rather than ringing in sick. Oh dear. Well I have the next couple of days off so hopefully will come around more and be ready to start work on Friday.
I just found a lizard in my apartment as well!! Not nice! Gonna go get some swimming in while it’s not raining and I have time!!!

first proper florida day
So... few hours sleep and things seem so much better now. Our first orientation was at 930am which was pretty ok. Basically loads of paperwork and talks about codes and regulations etc. Wasn't too boring but was glad when it was over with.
As we left the room we walked straight into a pool party which was pretty cool even though we werent really around the pool itself. We were given free pizza (dominos), drinks and crisps. Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were around the pool but they were pretty much surrounded so we didnt go down :(
Afterwards a few of us decided to walk across to premium outlets for a quick look round and then walked up to publix to get a few bits. Then we got a minibus back to the commons (there was 8 of us and the commons is our housing complex)
After bout an hour and a phone call home i went up to one of the guys apartments were we met up with the others. played few games, watched DVD and headed out to bennigans for tea which was cool. Taxi back and now sat on laptop lol.
Met my roomate, she is really nice and easy to talk to. Gonna go bed soon i think as am still tired. Another orientation tomorrow-not sure what doing after. We are thinking of maybe doing Universal Studios on friday as we dont get discounts like we do disney so we think we may get an annual pass as they are lke $114 which i am pretty sure is a bargain-correct me if im wrong!!!
Anyway, gonna go get my stuff sorted for tomorrow. Will write soon-no matter how boring lol. Keep in touch with me on facebook-i need to keep hearing from home!!!!!!!!

My travelling day from hell
So, monday night i'm all packed and ready to go despite some last minute panicking about my phone i was generally set to go. Then Tuesday morning my alarm goes off at the wrong time and so i literally have half an hour to finish doing everything i wanted to do, get ready, have breakfast and head off. So the journey to the airport was carefree pretty much (even with mum doing the driving instead of dad lol) We arrived on time and had a tearful goodbye which was really hard.
Luckily i didnt have much time to kill once in the airport so didnt get to bored. On the plane i was sat next to a young couple, we didnt talk much but they seemed really friendly. The plane was delayed (not really sure how long to be honest) Had fairly nice flight over-I watched Step up 2: the streets (again) and then Fool's Gold which is actually really good. Embarassing though cause it was really funny and felt a bit of a fool laughing out loud lol. Then watched What Happens in Vegas on my ipod in between reading bits of Harry Potter.
When i landed thats when the fun began lol. The first hitch was at customs/immigration. The queue was huge and i was waiting there for ages. Was desperate for the loo so when they called me forward was so relieved. The guy behind the counter was actually laughing and joking with me and was really nice which was weird for me cause normally at florida border control they are really strict and rarely smile. He told me all i had to do was to go to this room and pick my paperwork up and then i was done. So i went to the room and sat down in a packed, very small room. An hour and a half later a guy came out asked me where i was working this year and then gave me my passport back with no extra paperwork! He said that all they had had to do was to check it. The annoying thing was i was going to try and meet up with couple of people i had spoke to on facebook and i actually saw them go past but couldnt leave to say anything.
When i finally left the woman said that there had been another virgin flight come in (from gatwick) and that they had put my luggage on there so i waited bout half hour before i saw a woman bringing my stuff in from another room and putting it up against a wall. So i picked my luggage up and had to wheel to suitcases over to the customs declaration where he checked my papers again and decided to chat to me for bout 5-10 minutes. All i wanted to do was leave. Got through there to the next room where they told me i needed to give them my luggage as i had too much to take over to the other terminal. So i left it with them begrudgingly (sp?) and went up the stairs to get the monorail type tram to the main terminal. once stepping off it was pretty daunting as to where to go-i decided on baggage claim A as that was where the virgin flights were. Got there and after an hour one of my bags came-it was the only one!!! An announcement came on that they were now going to come through upstairs so i had to cart my suitcase up. Got my bag pretty much straight away and then had to back downstairs to get transport.
As i was sooooo tired and on the verge of bursting into tears i decided to get a taxi to Vista Way only the taxi driver didnt know where he was going so i had to ring arrivals and put him on the phone to them. Eventually we arrived in the pouring rain and had to pull my suicases through puddles as we couldnt lift them in time. Arrived at reception, watched a small video and then headed off with a guy called maurice who took my baggage back through the puddle to his car. When we arrived at my accommodation-apartment 417 Commons i was so pissed off to find my key didnt work in the lock so had to wait bout half hour for security to come and let me in!!! So havent had time to shop or anything!!!! Had pack of crisps for tea lol
Met a couple of my flatmates who seem really nice. Havent met the others yet as i fell asleep. Was trying to wait up to meet my roomate claire but must have fallen asleep. Hopefully i will talk to her later.
Right im heading off now to get ready for orientation so will speak soon xxxx

Well...23 days to go and still no progress from me. STILL waiting to hear something about my visa although jason said it would be tomorrow so fingers crossed x
